Hi! I’m Katherine McMahon—the voice and vision behind Vineyards and Voyages. I’m a published writer, photographer, and drone videographer who believes in savoring life through meaningful travel. I’ve explored 49 of the 50 states (Alaska still awaits!) and visited over 30 countries, always searching for hidden gems, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable stories to share with my community of over 700,000 travelers.

Travel hasn’t always come easy—I’m a fearful flyer, and every flight is a quiet battle. But I refuse to let that fear hold me back, because I know the magic that waits on the other side. That challenge has shaped how I approach the world: with courage, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the moments that make a place unforgettable. From vineyard sunsets and historic streets to coastal escapes and mountain trails, I strive to capture the wonder of a destination and invite others to experience it too.

Beyond my work, I’m a proud mom of two and stepmom of two, and some of my favorite adventures are the ones I get to share with my teenagers. Whether it’s taking them on food tours through Europe, exploring historic cities, or introducing them to new cultures, I love showing them the world in ways that spark their curiosity and create lasting memories.
